American Survival Co. Base Camp

Wow! Everyone needs to take American Survival Co classes. Any class they offer is golden, but the dark horse is the Primitive Survival class. Everybody needs to take it. You learn incredible skills like: primitive shelter, fire (with high tech and low tech options), water purification, herbal medicine and essential plant identification, trauma medical care and so much more! Matt Tate is the best instructor one could hope for: humble, knowledgeable, and proficient in conveying important information. 10/10!

Matt and his team afford priceless skills, hands on education and practical information. His background and diverse team allowed for my wife and I to engage in meaningful instruction that both catered to our needs and showcased their proficiencies. I’ve spent countless days in classrooms being lectured and giving up my time to “learn”. A full day in ASC’s “classroom” taught me the difference between being lectured and learning. I can recommend this outfit wholeheartedly to anyone who wants to learn. My wife and I look forward to going back.

Our family participated in the wilderness survival course this weekend—what a fantastic learning opportunity! Matt is very knowledgeable and adept at teaching to the students needs. He was very patient and offered multiple techniques to implement. Matt’s humble and easy going personality made the course truly enjoyable!
