American Star Inn - Munday Texas

This was the worst place I've ever stayed. Floor was cracked and dirty. Sink and toilet were dirty. Floor was covered with water in front of the toilet from a leak. Bedside lamp didn't work because the plug was missing from the cord. One sheet was draped over the bed and then covered with a thin bedspread. There was no top sheet. There were no drinking cups available. To top it off, I was charged $100.

Wish i could put 0 stars. This has to be the worst and terrible hotel i have stayed in the last 10 years of working out of states.. the room wasnt cleaned at all it was very dirty and had a very bad smell. There was food under drawers and sink. I paid $370 x 4 days. Expensive and very nasty room. I couldn't go no where else bc i was in a company truck with other guys as a ride. But next time if i go back to this town. Believe ill drive an hr or more away to find something better. This is a very sad way to lose clients and money and business. Like why be lazy and unresponsible to have a good clean room. Your making money out of it. Take care and take care of clients. Clients is what makes you money... I was very shocked with the staff here, how can they be so careless for their clients.

Crickets everywhere all over room hundreds dead all over room floor, some were still alive. Bed was not the best and sheets had a musky / moldy smell. But last minute cross country travel was a decent but way overpriced for the quality. Service was fast and friendly and very helpful. As was leaking water onto floor and floor itself had many cracks.

My husband and I stayed here on the 20&21of August 2024, being in town for a funeral. The couple running the place are amazing. We got in late so the had to get up from their bed to check us in and where so nice and polite about it. The room was perfectly adequate for what we needed, a bed, shower, and a place to change clothes. That they let us do WAY after checkout time so we didn't have to travel in out funeral clothes. The best part of the whole place is the orange male cat that greets and loves all. We will be staying here every chance possible and suggest everyone else do the same.

Broke down in Munday Tx and had to stay the night no choice!! The lady at front dest was really nice but not impressed with rooms, spider webs along ceiling, TV didn't work and small refrigerator which hardly worked,,,, I do recommend buying a salt rifle for the flies you can set records lol
