American Safari Motel

Great location.  Efficiency unit needs to be stocked with proper dishes and cutlery and linens, toaster, coffee machine etc. thank goodness we brought our own coffee maker. Pool was very nice.  Umbrellas need replacement2 propane bbqs did not work well at all.  Took forever to cook something and it was still undercooked. We have been told that renovations are happening this winter.  The bathroom needs major renovation as the pieces are very old and leak.  The mattresses are hard as rock. We loved the location and the staff were very nice. We will see what the renovations look like as we would like to go back there again.

I visited Amercina Safari with three other families in July 2025. I have never stayed at a motel as poorly run as this in my fifteen years of coming to Wildwood. The smell of mold and mildew practically knocked me over once I opened the door to my room. The living room area was vile. The floor was filthy, the couches were ripped, and they both had stains on the cushions. The walls had holes in them, and they were stained. All the rooms had poor to no lighting. The one bedroom had track lighting on the ceiling, but it did not work. The top sheet in the bedroom had a cigarette burn on it. The other bedroom's mattress was concaved. One of the bedroom air conditioners barely worked, and the corner of the air conditioner unit had black mold. The toilet seat had multiple chips and appeared worn

Convenient to visit the shore. 1 block away from the beach and the start of the boardwalk to get on the tram car. The room itself was not spectacular but it had beds, a shower, a TV, air conditioning, and a refrigerator. There is an inground pool outside with seating available. The owner at the front desk was kind. Locations for places to eat within walking distance.

Room was clean although outdated. Water pressure was somewhat weak, but shower was warm. Great location right near the beach and boardwalk. Ice cream shop across the street, and great breakfast/lunch spot just a few steps away. Staff were friendly. Pool was on the smaller side but appeared clean although we did not use it. Decent accommodations if you’re not looking to drop a ton of cash

Good location, comfortable clean rooms but out dated, beds were comfortable as well nice lil patio outside our room. Great for the price…
