American Heritage Inn

I stayed at the American Heritage Inn twice now—once in the fall of 2024 and again just last week, June 2025—and both visits have been consistently pleasant. This family-run hotel is a great value: it's clean, affordable, and run with genuine care.||The owners, Samir & Mallika Patel, are incredibly warm and welcoming, and it’s clear they take pride in their property. The rooms are always clean and comfortable, and the indoor pool is a nice bonus, especially for families or when the weather isn’t ideal. Getting to the hotel is a little tricky because you have to go through a couple short jogs to get there, but it's right off I-96. This is a very nice hotel. Exceptionally clean. Staff are friendly and eager to help. Not posh. If you want that, stay at a more expensive place. Good sized room. Comfortable. Very quiet considering it's location close to the interstate. Portland is a very nice little town. I would stay here again.

Room phone stopped working mid call. Toilet clogged up. Bed was ok. Phone, remote and hairdryer covered in plastic well after covid was over with.
