Altland House

Altland House catered our wedding and it was perfect. We live a few hours away but they made everything run smoothly. From us going in to sample foods, trying different signature drinks, to random visits to look at table cloth colors. They were always very supportive and were ready to help any way they could. Cassandra was incredible keeping us up to date and helping us plan our perfect day. The food and drinks were incredible. Cassandra, bartenders, waiters, and chefs were perfect. We were amazed with how everything ran so smoothly at our wedding with the amount of people we had there. Altland House is an exceptional restaurant with a truly talented staff.

The hotel was very nice, clean and it was great to have a resturant in the hotel. The only thing that I was not aware of that you had to make reservations to eat. I just assumed that it was automatic if you were staying there. On Saturdays you should make a reservation to eat or go early so you don't have to. Other that that is was a great experience and I would go there again.

Anytime we are over in Central Park, we stay at the Altland House. The rooms are just what we need, a place to sleep. Clean and comfortable. The staff is helpful and keeps everything so clean. Yes I know I repeated myself but it is important for us that the room and facilities are clean. So much more important than un-needed amenities. On the grill review it asked if the bar and grill had Wi-Fi. Well, we didn’t notice as, for us we enjoy the company of the people.

We did not stay at the hotel. Met family for dinner on a Tuesday night. Busy, so recommend a reservation. Ambience was warm and cozy. Staff was friendly and attentive. Food was sub-par (4 out of 10). Go for drinks at the bar and appetizers.

Restaurant: Ordered Sous Vide Pork Shank Entree mostly because I love Risotto. Also came with glazed carrots. The shank was delicious. The Risotto was completely undercooked so much so I sent it back asking if anyone had even tasted it! They brought out more, still undercooked and a tiny bit crunchy but at least edible. The glazed carrots were undercooked as well, but hey anyone can eat a raw carrot so I did eat them too. For an upscale restaurant with a reputation, their cook needs to step it up a bit imo. I've never been served undercooked Risotto in my lifetime of trying it everywhere. It is one of my favorite versatile foods.
