Aloft Sarasota

I was aware that the hotel would be modern and minimalist but the reality was that the place is stark and municipal and the newly renovated room I was given was dirty. The air conditioner unit was extremely noisy and I was woken up at 2 am by drunks in the corridor. The breakfast menu has a handful of unappetising microwaved items and really poor quality.|Aloft is not a boutique hotel . It is a sub standard motel and my night there ruined the start of my vacation. |The ice bucket in my room represented the hotels style perfectly; cheap and tacky with a rusty screw on the bottom. But the management seemed shocked that I was unhappy. Pleas think carefully before booking here.

The overall experience was good. Gym and pool were great amenities - very clean. Only notable thing was no one came by to service our room or offer clean towels.

I was under the impression the Aloft parking garage would be included in my hotel fee. Idk? Our company hosted a holiday party and I just figured I'd get a discounted rate or something, but nope. I booked over the phone and not like there is a direct line to the hotel. So it could have been more accommodating. Pros: Room was nice and clean. Bathroom clean. Bed super soft. Staff was cordial and helpful. They allow for you to change your 1 king to 2 queens, if available. 👍 They have a baggage kart Cons: Parking garage is additional fee +$25 The breakfast 🥞 is overpriced. Breakfast sandwich n med/small coffee +$20 The door panel to my room came off when shutting the door. (Where the card scanner is)

Really nice hotel in Sarasota. Clean, reasonably priced. Really nice gym. Pool area very nice as well. Enjoyed the lobby bar. Staff friendly and provided great service. Within close walking distance of great local bars and restaurants. I would definitely stay here again

We stayed at this Aloft hotel for a wedding nearby. I had attempted to reach the front desk five separate times via phone with option “0” as the prerecording had prompted. The system said “I didn’t get that, please try again” and then the main prerecording played again each time. I wanted to see if we could check in prior to the 3:45 check-in time as I needed to get into a tuxedo. I left a message with the hotel manager using option “4” and haven’t heard back. Upon arrival, the staff seemed unamused by my issue. They also didn’t give me any instructions, they just gave me the piece of paper with the Wi-Fi password and didn’t even tell me how to get to my room, although I’m not sure if they could hear me due to the bar being right next to the reception desk.
