Aloft Miami Airport

Beautiful hotel, conveniently located less than 10 min from the airport! Perfect location. However, I was a little disappointed and frustrated with the communication from the reservation team. They canceled my reservation without communicating to me that I booked a pre paid room and needed to make a payment in order to hold my reservation. Instead, I received an email at 3:37am the morning of my reservation, saying they had cancelled my stay. I was literally at the airport when I realized they had emailed me saying this- and I made my reservation 6 days prior to my travels. I wish someone would’ve communicated with me at least 24-48hrs prior to my reservation so that I could properly handle the situation instead of canceling the day of my stay- less than 12 hrs before my stay. At check in, I asked for a room not facing the street, young woman at front desk said it makes no difference, and refused to even try... I was on a short overnight layover and didn't really fight it.||The room facing the street does have some noise, especially it is a decently busy street, and Florida doesn't really have the best regulations on car noise.||I'm a Titanium member and travel a lot. I know when it is needed to ask for a preferred room as a status member. I don't need a lazy front desk agent just pretending to think they sleep in hotels more than me. Service was 1 star. I had a wonderful stay at Aloft Hotel near the Miami Airport. The customer service was excellent—they even arranged airport pick-up and drop-off, which made my trip so much easier. The hotel was very clean, and my room was spacious and comfortable. Overall, a smooth and pleasant experience. I’d definitely stay here again!

Came on a 1 night business trip. First, I would love to thank the front desk staff is they were helpful and they have no control over the rooms I believe. Now… to the bad part. I got upgraded earlier that day. I checked in at 11PM to my room. The moment I got into my room it smelled like someone smoked in there. I called front desk and there were no rooms available at the time. Which was fine, maintenance came.. and he smelled the smoke. Only thing he can do was add a scentair Fan but the odor didn’t go away. He apologized and he wasn’t sure why the room was available. After a few minutes it was still unbearable and my skin started to become red. Room smelled musty. Bed wasn’t Done properly on the side. I rarely leave reviews but was so pleasantly surprised I thought I must! I booked via DayUse to relax for a few hours before an evening flight. I travel extensively for work and am titanium with Marriott bonvoy but I had never stayed at this hotel before as I never usually have a good experience with hotels near the airport. Check in was quick and very friendly. The room was super clean, no evidence of mold (which is prevalent in many hotels in south Florida) and the bed!!! It was so comfortable. Had a quiet and very comfortable nap before my flight. The hotel even offers a complimentary uber ride to the airport upon request. Nice touch! I’ll definitely be back.
