Allenberry Resort & Spa

Beautiful, unique stay in the Stone Lodge. Plenty of amenities that we plan to come back for on a full spa weekend. So nice to be able to walk across the parking lot for a 10/10 meal and drinks. Would love to come back in warmer weather to enjoy more of the Breeches. Only critique was someone stomping around above us at 1am. The rustic nature of the lodge made those footsteps pretty loud.

My husband and I had reservations for the Thanksgiving buffet at Allenberry. The ambiance was wonderful but the food was only mediocre and very limited. However, the worst part was the service. A young man called out our seating time, led everyone into a hallway, and promptly disappeared. After everyone figured out where the food was, we headed to the main dining room where we were shown our table. The server brought us a beverage, a knife and fork wrapped in a napkin, and was never seen again. Later, we got our desserts but couldn't find any forks. We used the ones left from the main course because no one had picked up our empty dirty dishes. At home, I'd eat my pie with a dirty dinner fork - not in a restaurant that bills itself as a resort. We have frequent at this Resort frequently. The grounds are beautiful and serene. There is a restaurant on site which has always been a pleasant time with a seasonal menu and good food. There is also a quaint little breakfast nook offering muffins coffee and takeout options for breakfast. There's an on-site Playhouse. The general manager is very open to assisting with any issues that arise. She made our last day very enjoyable thank you Corrie.

The manager was so kind, accommodating, and thoughtful which made our stay unforgettable and made us feel so valued as guests. A wonderful surprise! We were traveling on I81 near Carlisle, PA and decided to look for a place to stay at the last minute. Lucky us! The staff was super nice to find a cancellation and fit us in. Room was charming, clean and big. Grounds are beautiful. We saw a handful of guests fly fishing in their trout stream. Dinner in the barn was cozy and delicious. Breakfast was yummy too. Price was far less than we’d expect. Would definitely go back.
