This is such a a beautiful resort. I came up for a boat race on Labor Day weekend. The staff, from the office to security, where friendly and helpful. The resort itself is very clean and well kept and I had an amazing time. The lake is beautiful and the members friendly. Lots of activities for kids and adults alike. I stopped by the cafe and the food was delicious and the staff friendly. I would highly recommend this resort to people looking for a private, safe, familyfriendly place to camp. A beautiful resort and a beautiful community.

I purchased a lifetime membership 10k. I reserved a campsite you can reserve for two weeks and be out for 7 days and then you can return, well that's the start of it. Ok I agreed. arrived parked my camper in a not prime spot I may add. Today I received a phone call the young lady verified my campsite and then said you cannot leave the campsite for more than 16 hours!!!. First of all what difference does it make if I am there or not I paid for the site!!. It has rained for three days and I have to be in Buffalo for cancer treatments during the week. I ask if you paid for the membership and the place is not by any means full should I drive eighty miles for one hour and leave. This policy really sucks had I known this ludicrous rule I would have not played out 10K.

My family has had a membership here for as long as I can remember. I've dozens of irreplaceable happy core memories growing up, spending a great majority of my time at this resort, wherein I made friends and had the time of my life as a kid. That said, for a great deal of time this beloved campground fell into neglected disrepair and a shockingly degenerative downward spiral quality-wise that was previously unfathomable to ever consider possible. The hugely popular restaurant & bar? Turned into a library, of all things. The family arcade? Gone. Where it was, empty. The well-stocked gift & grocery shop? Overpriced, and all but empty. The kind, helpful staff? Replaced and now rude and pushy. And the fun, safe family environment? Replaced with vandalism, fights, out-of-control parties,

We received 1 free week after purchasing our camper a year ago. We sat through the 90 minute presentation, the salesperson was kind but they offered a membership at first for $12,000. Then when we said that was too much they brought it down to $8,000. Then it ended up down to $6,000. We still could not afford that out of pocket and it seemed like they were desperate for us to purchase a membership. They did offer for us to do a monthly payment plan. It all was incredibly pushy and seemed very suspicious. After staying there for 5 days, I now know why. When they did the presentation it was during the off-season and took us on the tour, they only showed us the nice side and claimed the other side (where guests get their free spots) was being cleaned coming out of the "winter months". This was our first year camping at Allegany Mountain Resort at Rainbow Lake. It was a great time. There are many things to do while camping. All the staff from front office to security to maintenance to store and café were more then friendly and helpful. Can not wait till next year.
