Allagash Destinations

The Half Moon Cabin was so clean, tidy, cozy, and comfy for us. The spacious deck was awesome overlooking the beautiful St. Joh River and the beautiful hills of Allagash. Lori and Aaron were very attentive to make sure we were not in need of anything and that we were comfortable and enjoying our stay. They made us feel right at home and even helped out when our sled broke down. We will be coming back for many years to come. Thanks to both of you for being so kind and gracious and making our getaway so enjoyable. Also, our breakfast at Two Rivers was delicious. Thank you for the gift certificate. We cant wait to come back.

The minute I first talked to Lori over the phone for our group of 6, I knew we were in the best possible hands. Her and Aaron are instant family and their kindness is something I’ll never forget. They genuinely care that you have the time of your life on the river and cant wait to hear how it went when you got back. On top of all that, their level of professionalism is impeccable. The attention to detail for all the planning, the love at the rv/camping sites, and the level of communication cannot be topped by anyone else. They were not just a shuttle ride and a place to stay, Lori and Aaron made our entire trip possible and we cannot thank them enough. Aaron and Lori of Allagash Destinations didn’t just outfit our trip, they defined it. Our group of 11 came for canoes, seats, and a shuttle. What we got was guidance, care, and local wisdom that turned a good trip into a great one. Days before launch, they reached out to let us know the river was unusually low (about 440 CFS) and the final stretch wouldn’t be passable. Instead of leaving us stranded, they mapped out alternatives, suggested a hike to add variety, and arranged a new exit point so we didn’t have to deal with dragging our boats through shallow water our entire last day. We used Allagash Destinations for a night of camping and transport to Indian Stream in the Allagash Wilderness Waterway. Lori and Aaron were exceptional communicators and took great care of our group. At their campground we had access to fresh water and a spotless bathroom and shower. They were flexible with timing of the transport and made us comfortable, including making a special bed for our dog. They even made an extra stop on the way so we could pick up last minute items. They helped us get on the water and waited to until we shoved off. Highly recommend them for your next Allagash adventure!
