Alii Kane Cottages

I am so glad we found this wonderful, cozy cottage in Volcano. It has every amenity you could think of and is still woodsy and quaint. The owners, Mike and Susan, are friendly and helpful. It can get chilly at 3000 ft. elevation, but the bed has a warming pad that can be set to the preferred temperature on each side! The property is 4 acres so you feel very secluded, even though there are two cottages and the owners' home. Plus, you are only 5 miles from the national park entrance. The kitchen is fully appointed with a refrigerator, full stove, microwave, toaster, coffee maker, etc. The front porch has a beautiful big propane BBQ too. Great location, well maintained cabin with all amenities. Felt a little small for 4 but had a loft with 2 beds that my kids fell in love with. Sue was a great hostess and very friendly. She gave us some good tips about nearby restaurants and good places to visit in the area.

The host, Mike, met us on arrival and gave us all the details we needed - including letting us know that the volcano was active, so we got a once in a lifetime chance to see that! The location was great, in a rain forest setting and only 10 minutes to the National Park. The grounds were well kept, clean, and relaxing. The cabin itself was a great size for our family of 4, and each kid had their own bed. The interior of the cottages are average, but nice and clean. Comfort of guests is obviously important to the owners and we slept great! They have heaters as well as bed heaters too!

Perfectly clean, fully equipped kitchen and the grill at your dispose. Michael (owner) gave us the best care we experienced and really useful tips how to spend our time here on the island. Place is 15 minutes from national Volcano park and easy to access by any car, really good for families with kids and adults alike! We will surely return when we come back to Hawaii from Bohemia and we will miss this place and kind owners that we regret not to spend more time with. Thank you very much for such an amazing experience!

Everything about our stay was perfect! The location was only 10 minutes from Volcano National Park, the cabin was sparkling clean, the laundry was easy to use and access, and the kitchen was fully equipped for us to cook our own meals! This was the perfect addition to our vacation and it felt like a home away from home!
