Alexander Springs is hands down one of our favorite springs and campsites in Florida. We keep coming back because it never gets old. The water is insanely clear, stays the perfect cool temperature year-round, and is amazing for swimming, floating, and just hanging out in the spring run. The campground is one of the best around, shady, well spaced, and surrounded by live oaks that make it feel peaceful even when the area is busy. It’s a great mix of relaxing and fun. You can spend the day in the water, walk the trails, cook at camp, and end the night under the trees with the sounds of nature all around you. What we love most is how “real Florida” it feels. No overdevelopment, no gimmicks—just crystal-clear water, wildlife, and that classic spring vibe that makes you forget about everything
Great place for camping. This is our go to place when we want to disconnect. Campsites are big and well maintained. No electric hookup but if you are well equipped, you wont need electricity. Most of Campsites are close to bathrooms and showers (hot water). You can buy ice and fire wood at the entrance and there is a circle K and a dollar general. Recommended 100%
Alexander Springs is quaint and inviting. The water is chilly and refreshing. The scenery is perfect. Plenty of space to sit or gather on the ground or benches/picnic tables. There is a charming store on site and bathrooms close to the water and the camping area. The camping areas feel semi private. Everyone that works here has been super helpful and friendly every time we have visited. We got rained out today, but we will definitely return another day. The price to enter for the day/for swimming was just under $15/person and there are no rain checks. We saw tons of different birds, a snake, deer, 2 cats, and plenty of squirrels.
The RV parking sites are done online. This makes it hard to know what the site looks like. We had to move our RV to the edge of the parking due to low hanging dead tree limbs. The limbs need to be cut and cleared higher than the RVs. Other than that, it was perfect. I enjoyed staying here and swimming was wondering in the natural spring water.
Amber and Giulietta checked us in, they were very helpful and knowledgeable. We enjoyed our spot in Loop C 40.
