Alaska Chalet Bed & Breakfast

My wife and I have stayed in many, many places over the years, including several bed and breakfasts. We have never stayed in a nicer place. We stayed for eleven nights while visiting our grandson, who is serving in the Air Force in Anchorage. Our stay was fantastic! ||Brigitte is the perfect hostess. She was so helpful in every way and could not do enough for us!||The Garden Suite was very well furnished. There was all kinds of tourist information. The bed was very comfortable. The kitchen had everything that one could want. Bridgette was quite honestly the best host I have ever encountered! The chalet is beyond beautiful with every home comfort you could wish for! The house is impeccably clean, beautifully decorated in the most wonderful area! The beds are SO comfortable and we couldn’t have wished for a better experience. We even saw a bear! We honestly can’t rate the chalet or the host highly enough, I can’t encourage you enough to book this b&b, you will have the most wonderful and relaxing time. We stayed here for 5 nites in June 2024 before going on an Alaskan cruise. Bridgette was more than accommodating, welcomed us in with lots of breakfast foods to get us started each day. It was more than enough! The beds were comfy, the entire chalet was very spacious at 800 sq ft and the bathroom was very large. Even the bathroom was stocked with things we may have needed during our stay which was a wonderful surprise. This lodging is bit outside of Anchorage but just a quick drive each day so it was off the beaten path but worth the short time to drive. there is a scenic overlook just around the corner, and the local town of Eagle River has everything you need for your stay. My husband and I just finished up a three night stay here while visiting Alaska. We stayed in the Alaska Chalet Suite. Our area was very spacious with a small kitchen, living room area, bedroom, and bath with large whirlpool tub. Eagle River is just a short 25 minute drive to downtown Anchorage. Brigitte, the owner, was very kind and helpful, starting several weeks before our trip when we called to ask questions before making a reservation. Because of COVID, Brigitte is not cooking breakfast but did offer a nice welcome basket with items like yogurt, eggs, juice, fresh fruit, and toast. We found the house to be very reasonably priced, clean and comfortable and would definitely stay again if in the area.

This was the perfect place for my husband and me to enjoy time away by ourselves. We were visiting family in Eagle River after not seeing them for 3 yrs thanks to Covid. The place was very clean, spacious and comfortable. Brigette provided all we needed for a very relaxing stay. She asked ahead of time what we might want in our welcome package and even included a giant pretzel for my husband. I would highly recommend this place and we plan to keep it in mind for any future visits to the family there. Thanks, Brigette.
