Adventure Trails Ohio

First off we rented the huge lodge and it was very nice. We weren’t happy because the fire detectors kept beeping 5 beeps every 2 minutes all weekend. It drove us crazy and they wouldn’t fix it. The campground itself was horrible. To hilly to ride bikes, the tiny beach was slimmy and green yucky stuff all in the water, no one hardly there, the rec room had just 3 things in there, the one worker was grouchy all the time. Basically nice cabin with nothing much to do. Would not recommend it.

My husband and I have been staying here for almost 2 years now!!! We love this place! Management is wonderful, and they are always here if you need anything! They go out of their way to make their campers happy and safe! It's a place I call home! Of course, they have had issues with other campers. However, they take care of business and won't let people stay, which cause problems for everyone. The review left by Holly on here is an absolute lie! I'd be in the women's restroom, and her husband would just walk in like they had no respect for anyone. Me, along with other campers here, have witnessed their misbehavior, which led to them getting kicked out! They are nasty people, and I'm much happier and feel safer with them gone! If I could leave positive review of this place I would, but I simply can’t do that. From the very beginning this place was difficult. Trying to reserve a spot at the campground was difficult. It took multiple calls/texts to get ahold of someone. This was the situation for my family unless there was some kind of “issue” the campground had with my family. This place from day 1 felt like a HOA that would make rules up and nit-pick over anything. They did not like the fact my daughter had a disability. They did not like the fact we were a family. They also did not like that we tried to hold them to basic standards that any place open to the public should abide by. Many issues happened at this campground over the 6 months we were there. The tent area is definitely not actually meant for tents. There’s no place to wash dishes, no outlets, and nowhere to get water. The shower water will leave you smelling like rust, and the swimming area water looks awful and doesn’t seem healthy to swim in. The game room looks abandoned and has a very strong moldy smell.

Nice, quiet and clean park. Tons of hiking trails. Very scenic all over. The roads to get to the campsites can be a little tight. WiFi worked strong and we could watch streaming TV at night with no issue. Cell service was no issue either. The folks camping there were friendly. Mostly seasonal campers, from what I could tell. It gets very quiet at night, not much in the way of nightlife was going on while we were there and there were no orgnanized activities for the weekend we stayed. The rec center appeared to be closed, for some reason. We didn't have any kids with us so we didn't ask why it was closed while we were there. We reserved the spot on their website with zero issues.
