Customer Reviews
My husband and I did a spur of the moment trip to Washington DC. Our camp site was absolutely spacious and beautifully located. Our dogs had room to run around. Couldn't have asked for a better spot. The staff was amazing. They gave us a lot of advice and tips for navigating the DC area. Which all came in handy during our visit. We couldn't have asked for a better place. You will not find a better place for you DC trip. They were the best priced in the area. Their sites were 40 to 60 cheaper per night than cherry Hill. Adventure bound was also extremely close to the metro which made visiting so convenient. We will be coming back soon!! 10/10 recommended 👌
Worst campground we have ever stayed in 30 years of camping. Years ago we stayed here often when it was family owned and well kept with lots of activities. Our site was so narrow our awning came within inches of the camper next to us. There was barely enough room to set up a canopy for our camp stove and picnic table. By the time we parked the truck there was no room for a fire pit. It had no grass or gravel, just dirt. Luckily it didn't rain or hadn't rained. $100 per night and there were no amenities- no firewood for sale, no planned activities for adults or children. At that price other campgrounds have horse shoes, shuffle board, mini golf and other outdoor games, jumping pillows, group pavilions, live entertainment etc.
The staff is nice, the amenities are decent, the park roads are horrible and narrow. This camp ground would be ok if they had the long term tenants clean up their sites, many are full of debris and scrap and makes the areas look very junky. as for service, they are good, but maintenance of this resort is lacking severely,
Pros: Staff was super helpful. Quiet campground. Gated entrance. Cons: Dirt neglected roads, unlevel sites, low hanging trees, cars parked at or in road , making it difficult to maneuver. Old unkept Rvs with lots of messy sites. Water had alot of sediment, used two filters in a 2 week stay. Overall: We arrived and had arranged a early check in for a fee. Our site had a decent amount of yellow jackets as if a nest was nearby. They offered to move us or spray we decided to move .Staff was super helpful and I so appreciate that. Our site was mostly dirt and had a old broken mop handle laying in the dirt and lots of old rotting wood laying around. Also had a cinder block with like a old alarm clock in it. They did move is to this site last minute. Overall , people in the campground were nev
The people here are very nice. The bathrooms. And showers were great. You have to wait like 2 minutes for the hot water to turn on. But they work great. There's a pool and a a dog park. And laundry, game room, and little store. Also, it's nice if you want to stay longer than a month or more, they give you a great price. It's close to a lot of places in the DC area. But we're already like thirteen minutes from the beach or inlet (BAY)
