Acadia Wilderness Lodge

Kenya and James have created a magical place. The yurts are warm and inviting with everything you could possibly need. The beds were so comfortable and the pillows were heavenly. The communal fire pit area had comfortable seating. We enjoyed sitting there one evening with a glass of wine. If you prefer more privacy, the covered area behind each yurt has a fireplace and more comfortable seating. We enjoyed our time there so much and definitely recommend staying here.

We stayed at Acadia Wilderness Lodge for 4 nights as a family of 4 (parents + 2 tween/teen boys), and it exceeded all of our expectations. The bedrooms were set up perfectly for a family, we always appreciate when there are separate beds for the kids since it reduces bedtime bickering:) The kitchenette was well-appointed, and we stocked it for breakfast each day and snacks in the evening. The tiny loft was perfect for our boys to hang out, and the bathroom was lovely--I definitely appreciated the large soaking tub after a day of particularly rigorous hiking. Although we didn't use the back patio during our stay, it was adorable, and we loved that it was covered and had a fireplace for lounging and a grill. My family stayed at Acadia Wilderness Lodge for 3 nights in July 2025.||The space is very well-done and enjoyable, but overall both the space and the yurts are a bit cramped. Primarily, the yurts do not offer much privacy both inside and out (it's mainly a large room with wall dividers), and they are so close together you can easily hear the conversations of other guests. The layout of the yurts, combined with the volume of furniture, also makes them seem a bit cramped.||I would consider staying here again and prepare a bit better for these conditions, but I don't think I'd be willing to pay the same price, as I would expect a bit more at these rates.

We stayed here in September 2022… and can’t believe I never left a review. We absolutely LOVED our time here. Our family of four stayed for a full week to explore Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor. The location of the yurts was perfect for everything we wanted to do and was close to a small town that had great restaurants. We actually ate there more than we did in BH. The yurt was perfectly sized for us. Plenty of room in the bedrooms and we loved the kitchen and amenities. We also loved the sound of the rain at night on the cover. It was so peaceful! Wonderful Yurt Stay with Exceptional Hospitality I had the most incredible experience staying at Kenya's yurt! The yurt itself was cozy, beautifully decorated, and perfectly situated in a serene, natural setting—just what I needed for a peaceful getaway. What really made my stay exceptional, though, was Kenya's hospitality. During my visit, I encountered a car problem that could have been a major disruption to my trip. However, Kenya went above and beyond to assist me. She was proactive, helping me troubleshoot the issue and even coordinating with a local mechanic. Thanks to her quick thinking and kindness, I was able to get back on track without missing a beat. Kenya truly cares about her guests and their experience.
