Customer Reviews
Abilene’s Victorian Inn Bed & Breakfast is a beautiful and charming place to stay. The rooms were quiet and very comfortable, with stunning, detailed décor throughout the home. It truly feels like stepping back in time. The only minor downside was that the room thermostat was located in the hallway, so we couldn’t adjust the temperature ourselves — but it was only slightly too warm for us. Breakfast was good. Our hostess was friendly, welcoming, and very informative about the area and local attractions. The overall atmosphere was historic and romantic — perfect for couples or anyone who appreciates period architecture and hospitality. Parking is a bit limited in the back, and accessibility may be a challenge for some, but it’s well worth the stay. We’d absolutely return, and it’s an ide
The Bec and Breakfast was easy to find. The owner was there to greet us. She gave us a tour of the place and was very kind. She gave us Ideas for restaurants and things to do. When we came back, my aunt and i had a hat party and the owner took fun pictures for us. There was a problem in the morning where the power went out, but that didn’t stop her from fixing s as delicious breakfast. We were very pleased with the cleanliness of the place and the stories of the history of it. We will definitely need returning sometime. Thank you!
The Abilene Victorian Inn Bed & Breakfast was excellent and we'd definitely stay there again. We stayed in the Mamie Eisenhower Honeymoon room, which was the only one available when we made our reservation. It is large and comfortable with a small but good on-suite bathroom. The bed was a king-sized airbed with adjustable firmness - very comfortable. The room was initially on the warm side and the owner helped adjust the heating vents to reduce the temp - no thermostats for each room. We were quite comfortable after that. Breakfast was excellent with tasty coffee: an ambrosia fruit salad, followed by "fancy" french toast, bacon, and a selection of juices. The french toast had some intrinsic sweetness (raspberry drizzle) and I didn't need any syrup. There is some parking in the back of the
Like visiting Grandmoms house (if your Grandma is warm and welcoming, a fastidious housekeeper and gourmet cook, that is...) Located in a safe area bustling with Victorian Era houses, and adjacent to a public park, it's in a great neighborhood to stroll and relax after hours in the car. Bedrooms are large, well furnished and quiet even with other guests in the house. Can you tell I loved it?
The whole house is beautifully restored with lots of Victorian furnishings. Our room was very nice. The mattress was one of the most comfortable we had ever slept in. The food was excellent. I also learned how to make bacon in bulk. Breakfast was delicious and beautifully presented. We would whole-heartedly recommend this B&B.
