Abbey's Lantern Hill Inn

We had a great time staying at the Inn. Definitely as advertised! Very quiet and peaceful. We really enjoyed the fireplace in the bedroom, and the host (Erika) made sure we had plenty of wood to keep it going! Breakfast was lovely and we are looking forward to returning when the weather is warmer - breakfast on the private deck off of the room would be a nice start to the day!

Positive: The grounds were beautifully maintained & the room was well decorated not to mention, extremely clean. Loved that a delicious cooked to order breakfast was included & brought to our room. We will be back! Negative: Room was located next to the kitchen (not sure if that was in the listing or not). We would have preferred a room farther away that offered more privacy. We will inquire next time. Also, I would have liked to have more shelving next to the bathroom sink.

My wife and I were looking for a quiet, romantic place to celebrate our belated Valentine's Day togegher and we were lucky enough to find this gem. After reading all the awesome reviews, we didn't hesitate to book right away. We chose the fireplace suite with 2 person jacuzzi tub. The room was super cozy and inviting! The bed was beyond comfortable and the decor was rustic enough to give it that cabin in the woods feel while maintaining a certain level of modern charms. We appreciated the attention to the local Native American history as well. Erika is a wonderful host and her fresh made breakfasts were absolutely delicious. We cannot wait to return to Abbey's Lantern Hill Inn and we'll be sure to recommend it to all of our friends and family. We wish we could rate this place 10 stars!!

My wife and I recently booked “The Cottage” for a one-night getaway tied to a casino visit at Foxwoods, and it was the perfect choice. The room felt beautifully cozy and private—completely separated from the main B&B, giving us that wonderful sense of having our own little retreat after a late evening out. We especially appreciated the thoughtful, health-conscious touches: everything from the soap and toiletries to other amenities was microplastic-free and made with truly “clean” products. It’s rare to find a place so intentional about that, and it made the stay feel even more relaxing and rejuvenating. The highlight, though, was breakfast. Abbey’s Lantern Hill Inn is a darling place that we will visit again and again. We stayed there for a concert at the Mohegan Sun arena close by. Communication is excellent - Erika was very responsive and helpful. Peter served our delicious homemade breakfast in a cozy nook of the main house, and was a warm and friendly host. The online ordering was so easy to do. Our bed was very comfortable, and the spa tub delightfully relaxing. Our unit, the Mystic Room, was quiet and peaceful. We also visited the incredible Pequot museum, which is near Foxwoods, and only 3 minutes from the Inn. Great location, great place!
