6 Columbus - Central Park Hotel

After our first lovely stay in May 2010, we decided to return to New York and chose the same hotel once again 2012. Upon arrival, we were greeted by a very efficient and charming receptionist, and even the doorman remembered us, which was a really nice touch. We particularly appreciated the individual reception desks, which made check-in quick and effortless. This time, we booked one of the suites Loft and were truly impressed. The room was clean, spacious 100 square meters, and offered a spectacular view of Central Park. The bed was extremely comfortable, and the bathroom was spotless and very well equipped. An excellent place for us for the weekend! Traveling with our 6 year old grandson - having a bedroom & a separate living room with a sofa bed was very good! Location was excellent!|Good places to eat all around the hotel. Subway just across the street.

Positive: "" Negative: They did cheat us by posting as 4.5 star hotel, it is not. Bathrooms are beat up and broken ceilings are holding up mist. No views at all. they posted other skyscraper instead of their own building, fraudsters and stupid front desk no courtesy

DON'T STAY HERE! The location is outstanding. Close to the subway, Central Park, and shopping, but here's why I would NEVER book it again even for 1 night: 1. The front desk staff was rude at check-in. My card was overcharged by some kind of mistake. Thankfully, I monitor my account alerts closely. When I pointed out the mistake, there was no apology given. 2. There was an issue with the shower in the room. I called for maintenance 6 times... Twice at night and 4 times in the morning. Even after a "maintenance engineer" came to the room twice empty-handed (no tools), the issue was not resolved. The bathing experience was horrible. 3. I've had better experiences with other hotels in the city with better amenities, more responsive staff, and comparable pricing. Positives: the bed was comf
